What I’ve learned in February to rethink processes

Hi and welcome to the New Process Letter!

This is a really short and focused way to share with you my key learnings of the month and to inspire you to rethink processes.

So February, let’s do this. 🚀

How to develop a digital mindset

In this episode, I spoke with Julian Knorr about the importance of having the right mindset. Here are my key learnings:

Mindset = foundation of technology: without the right mindset, the most advanced technology fails to enhance business operations, much like only seeing the tip of an iceberg without acknowledging the massive foundation beneath.
Mindset Navigator = tool for navigating future competencies: starting with an analysis of current skills and plotting a course to achieve predefined goals. I love this approach because it’s really human-centric, focusing on individual analysis and adaptation.
Individualized goal setting: goals can be personalized, set on an individual basis, or tailored to fit the needs of a company or specific job role.

Unlock the power of human connection

I was talking to Julia von Winterfeldt about the power of human connection and the principles and methods she uses to unlock it. We also discuss how to discover and live one’s purpose to increase satisfaction and self-efficacy. Here are my key learnings:

The journey to finding purpose: It involves delving into one’s core essence, recognizing an innate gift, and aligning it with a mission in a specific context to make a meaningful impact.
Creating a purpose statement: It is important because it helps to express what’s inside us. However, it should come from a deep look inside to truly show what we value, what we’re good at, and the impact we want to make, making it genuine and true to ourselves or our organization.

So, what’s next?

There are some really cool episodes in the pipeline: with experts from other disciplines, with a real process architect, and some more tool interviews are coming up.

And I’m also looking forward to the next Think Tank because the last one was really cool and exciting to see the New Process Pro community. As soon as the date is set, I’ll let you know.

Have a great day and thanks for reading!

Mirko
